Henry Kimball Hadley

Henry Kimball Hadley
1871-1937

Neo-Romantics of yore have gained traction in recent decades, despite being spurned by their 20th Century modernist brethren in their own time. This is exactly where Hadley sits.

Like other 'forgotten' US composers of his time, Hadley has quite the output of compositions which are largely unknown today. The little I have heard of Hadley makes me yen for more.

According to the internets, Hadley apparently had something to do with the genesis of what is today known as the Tanglewood Music Festival in Boston, referred to as the Berkshire Symphonic Music Festival in Hadley's time.
