Please Excuse Our Dust

Welcome to the Oozy Channel Keep!

We at The Keep are just getting up and running.

Our first order of business is to get our back catalogue of Classical Music recording reviews ported over to this blog. We have been writing reviews online since 1999, so our workload is front loaded.

We will probably get our singleton reviews up first, like those obscure composers on the Naxos American Classics series. We expect it will be easier to get those going before tackling Beethoven, Dvorak, Vaughan Williams, Haydn, or Mozart.

Our plan is to still offer our new reviews as well, so they should be available at the top of the blog. The rest will be a matter of searching for music or recordings you may be interested in.

If you go on over to our Composers page, those labelled in orange will link you to some recordings we have ready to go, ones we are adding on a daily basis. Right now, our orange links go to our recording reviews and thoughts, and our green links currently take you to online music, at least until we can upload our thoughts onto virtual paper. There are a lot of composers missing from our list, but once we are fully loaded, we hope to fill in the many, many blanks.

If you are wondering about us or how our reviewing works, head on over to the About Us page.

Once all of that is complete, we will continue our recording reviews, but we also hope to have more subject-based conversations and musings available, as well as a focus on musical forms and some more erudite observations on composers and their music. Perhaps some of our other pursuits will be a matter of topic as well.

But the whole idea is to share a love of listening to music. Please feel free to comment or follow us at the bottom of any post.
