Enrique Granados

Enrique Granados
1867-1916

Granados was a Spanish composer from the Catalan region.

His music follows Romantic Era Nationalism trends, with regional exoticisms readily apparent.

I mainly know Granados for some songs, but he is particularly well known for his contributions to the solo piano music repertoire.

The composer is listed among other Classical musicians for their unfortunate deaths. Apparently, his ship was shot by a German U-Boat while Granados and his wife were trying to travel home from the New World during WWI.
